Just read Dune for the first time this year. GREAT book. And Baron Vladimir might want to retune those suspensors - little high on the altitude, no? What the heck was he doing over Mexican cemetaries, though? Hmmmm? Riddle me that!
I'm inclined to think it is an escaped parade balloon. Remember the first Batman movie, with Jack Nicholson? "Why didn't someone tell me he had one of those.... things?!?! Bob... gun." BANG!
Obviously that was also the conclusion of the Mexican SciFi club.
