  1. Great timing. I was just bitching and moaning like a spoiled 6 year old at my wife this morning in regards to food.

It's been 2 years since I've been back to the States, and I'm in need of Greek food. Also, Mexican food. Being born and raised in San Diego, there not being a Mexican restaurant on every block is just strange.

In Japan, I lived out in the boonies, and the closest thing to international cuisine we had was an "Italian restaurant", but I knew the jig was up when I found corn in my spaghetti. It was a travesty.

Here in Korea (let me just say I'm in no way embellishing this) every restaurant is the same. The only difference is proximity from my door to theirs. The benefit of that is that I hardly ever want to eat out, which means I save buckets of cash.

  2. I hate to refute you in public but I invented Tangy Noodle Soup long before you were born. I was in college and my roommate made something similar with flat noodles, being cheap, I bought ramen and then added the spice packet and tangy noodles were born. I do believe you did coin the name of them tho.
You love them because I ate a lot of them when I was pregnant with you so you were born addicted. Also, I craved them when your sister was cooking inside me so you had them almost every day for lunch. You would open your mouth like a little bird and let me drop the yummy mess into your mouth...mmmm...guess I am having them for lunch today. Since you were 18 months old when Kelly was born I would say you have eaten this dish your whole life! Also, you can find tomato soup recipies on the internet, you are on the right track with the flour, just make sure they say the word cream somewhere and you will come out pretty good.
I don't like KimChi either , don't know if I can try your octopus recipe but thanks for the fun!
